The
National Museum of Colombia is the oldest museum in Colombia. Its collection is
divided into four collections: art, history, archeology and ethnography.
Founded by Law of the first Congress of the Republic on July 28, 1823, the National Museum of Colombia is the oldest of the country's museums and one of the oldest in America. For almost two centuries it has been dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of testimonies representative of the cultural values of the Nation.

The Mint of
Colombia was a shrine founded by the Spanish military engineer Alonso Turrillo
de Yebra in the 17th century. At present it houses the numismatic and art
collection of the Bank of the Republic. It is located on 11th Street with Race
4, in the colonial neighborhood of La Candelaria in the center of Bogota. In
1975 it was declared a national monument.
Alonso Turrillo de Yebra arrived in 1621 with royal ordinances accrediting him to create the first Mint in the New Kingdom of Granada, and for that purpose he rented a low house in the La Candelaria neighborhood of present-day Bogota to begin the work of Amonedation in which, in an artisan way, the first gold machines of America, known as doubblones, were produced among others. The Historical Museum of the National Police is a
public institution of the National Police of Colombia. Its headquarters are
located in the town of La Candelaria in Bogotá (Colombia).
This museum aims to expose and appreciate the history
and evolution of the National Police in the country, finding information on
laws and statutes, as well as records of the forms of punishment imposed long
ago to maintain the security of citizens. In it are objects such as weapons and
uniforms that were used by the national protection forces over time. In this
museum you can also see different exhibitions of events and criminal acts that
have marked the history of the country.
In this museum we saw the variety of weapons, the history of
the most powerful narcotraffickers in Colombia, the uniforms used by police at
that time and most importantly, it is a very old museum, its structure was not
the heroes of this country and how it helps the police in different sectors of
